This is a $70 million package of new road links and road upgrades in Albany, Auckland. Dairy Flat Highway includes lane widening, intersection improvements and a bridge replacement all within a very constrained and highly trafficked arterial road corridor.
Gills Road Link creates a new section of road including a bridge through an ecologically sensitive reserve area. The connection with the existing Gills Road and highly trafficked Oteha Valley Road requires multiple phases and complex traffic management. Medallion Drive Link involves constructing a new two-lane road, including a new 200m long bridge with footpaths and cycle facilities and significant intersection works at Fairview Avenue and on the highly trafficked Oteha Valley Road.
