Te Hā Noa Project

Alta administered the contract and managed site and design issues to support the delivery of Auckland Council’s $30M Te HāNoa project.
Project scope
The Te Hā Noa project centred on the rejuvenation of Victoria Street in Auckland CBD. The works took place from the new Aotea Station (CRL) across Queen Street valley to Albert Park.
This high-profile project was subject to intense public and government scrutiny due to its prime location. The project team performed well under pressure, executing the work with little disruption to the public.
The project team installed:
- A significant new underground network to bolster and modernise the Vector transmission network.
- Belowground foundations and stormwater infrastructure.
- Treepits and in-ground gardens in areas highly congested with underground services.
The premium project finishes included basalt stone paving, fine timber, and stone seating elements. Native planting, trees and boulder landscape architecture elements were also included.
Alta’s work
