We provided commercial and cost support to Auckland Council Healthy Waters during the procurement and construction stages of the project. Following flash floods in 2017, emergency remedial work and significant upgrading of the culverts that carry the Rewarewa creek under Great North Road in New Lynn was required.
We assisted Auckland Council Healthy Waters in the transition of the contract from an emergency works package to a design and construct package for the upgrade and then continued to provide ongoing commercial support until completion of the project in 2018.
Our input included a parallel estimate of the construction costs and supporting the negotiation of the design and construct contract, as well as providing commercial and cost assessment of subsequent variations.
