Dirk van Vuuren
Senior Associate
Dirk is a skilled Cost Manager with over a decade of experience delivering cost estimation, post‑contract management and risk advisory services across major infrastructure, 3 Waters, defence and commercial projects. He is known for fostering collaboration, aligning teams around shared objectives and ensuring risks are identified early to support better project outcomes.
He believes meaningful progress comes from a willingness to innovate and consider the long‑term value of the work we deliver. This perspective has shaped his contributions to projects such as the Porirua Wastewater Retention Tank, Pakuratahi Lakes feasibility work, Triplicate Interceptor and Eastern Trunk Main wastewater renewals and Prosser Street Watermain Renewals.
Dirk’s career spans retirement villages, hospitals, commercial buildings and civil infrastructure, with a strong focus today on pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying and project management. What motivates him most is seeing the positive impact well‑designed infrastructure has on communities over time.
Outside of work, he’s a keen outdoorsman, hunter and competitive long‑range rifleman.
