Russell Wark
Senior Associate
Russell is a Registered Quantity Surveyor with over 12 years’ experience across major civil and infrastructure projects. Beginning his career on site as a labourer and digger operator, he brings a practical, grounded approach to cost management, focusing on what truly matters for construction, risk and delivery.
He has contributed to significant urban regeneration and three waters projects, including Christchurch’s An Accessible City programme and the George Street upgrade in Dunedin, as well as ecological restoration works that support long‑term environmental outcomes. Russell is known for his clear, structured communication and his ability to distil complex information into the key insights decision‑makers need.
Actively involved in the profession, Russell is a member of NZIQS and contributes to industry guidance through the NZIQS Carbon Advocacy Working Group and reviews of national cost‑management standards. He is driven by improving the value of infrastructure investment and helping public sector projects achieve more with the resources available.
Outside of work, Russell spends most of his time with his two children, coaching football and cricket, and making the most of the outdoors especially surfing whenever he gets the chance.
