Craig thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. He’s a lateral thinker adept at problem-solving and embraces the challenge of thinking on his feet. Craig enjoys working across disciplines and being exposed to a variety of people and, in the process, developing relationships to achieve positive project outcomes.

International experience
Over the last 11 years, Craig has worked on large-scale government rail and ground engineering projects around the world. These include Crossrail in the UK where he was a Package Manager on Paddington Station upgrade, which involved the construction of a new £560 million station in a busy part of central London. Craig also worked on the AUD$1.1 billion Regional Rail Package C in Melbourne.

Mentoring
Craig has taken a keen interest mentoring university grads and summer interns. “It’s important to me that I have an active role with junior engineers and early professionals to help develop them in their career and give back.” Craig believes that greater emphasis be given to low-polluting public transport systems. He cites the role that rail and cycling projects can play to improve mobility and reduce the long-term impact on the environment.

“The biggest misconception in construction and infrastructure is it can be a waste of taxpayer funding when they’re often long-term projects that will benefit society and lead to ongoing positive contributions that will improve our environment.”

Here are some of the projects that Craig has played a role in.

  • City Rail Link – C5
  • Crossrail – Paddington Station Upgrade
  • Tottenham Court Road Station Upgrade
  • Waikato Expressway
  • Pago Pago Sewer Upgrade
  • Regional Rail Link – Package C
  • Newport Stabling Yards
  • The Base Shopping Centre Development.
