Tim is one of Alta’s founding partners. He has worked in many operational, commercial and cost related roles covering a range of civil engineering projects, including roads, rail, buildings, piling, streetscapes, tunnels, structures and three waters.
Tim has considerable estimating expertise, including the preparation of Engineers Estimates, Parallel Estimates and Contractor tenders. He has experience in a number of forms of contract in New Zealand and the UK. In addition, he has a sound understanding of New Zealand’s insurance and security markets.
He is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and an Affiliate Member of the NZ Institute of Quantity Surveying. Tim has completed a Management Programme at the Auckland University Business School.
UK experience
During his five years in the UK, Tim worked on several major projects as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. These projects included the A3 Hindhead Tunnel, M25 motorway widening and the Olympic Park Redevelopment.
Over a career which now spans almost 20 years Tim has worked on a diverse range of projects for central and local government entities, including Auckland Transport, Waka Kotahi and Watercare. Included amongst them are:
